ALU-Foil electric underfloor heating

The ALU foil electric underfloor heating system is designed for floating floors, laminate, wood, and parquet. For carpet or PVC flooring, the Heatpak duo system is recommended. The ALU foil system is fully grounded and therefore suitable for use in damp rooms. The underfloor heating system features an aluminum top and bottom section that house the heating cable. This system ensures even heat distribution across the entire surface.

The installation

The aluminum film cannot be installed directly onto a concrete or cement screed. You must first install insulation under the system. For this, you can use our ISO-84 or ISO-74. The aluminum film can then be easily unrolled onto this insulation. If necessary, you can cut the film at the aluminum section, but obviously not at the ultra-thin heating element. After the underfloor heating is installed, laminate, wood, or parquet flooring can be laid directly on top of the system. The aluminum film is equipped with a power cable. This power cable must be connected to the supplied thermostatic control unit. The power cable can be inserted into the flexible pipe with the floor sensor. The control thermostat must always be positioned at a height of 1.5 meters.

Advice ;

1. Measure the total area of ​​the room to be heated – subtract 20 cm from the sides and do not place the cable under toilets, floor-mounted furniture, or shower trays. For a heating area of ​​3.8 m², for example, choose a set of 3.5 m² aluminum sheets.
   
   
2. With an underfloor heating cable system, you can choose to lay the cable in a QH grid system or a spacer strip system.
   
   
3. If your flooring is PVC, vinyl, or linoleum, you must install Heatpeak over the underfloor heating system. For laminate or parquet flooring, you can lay your flooring directly onto the aluminum film.
   
   
4. Place the floor sensor in a separate tube. The sensor must be placed under the underfloor heating for the measurement to be accurate.
